The Conscious Child Kits are a resource for parents and caregivers! Specifically, they are book kits that celebrate diverse voices and help facilitate family discussions about racial equity, identity, and justice. Each kit includes four titles hand-picked by a children’s librarian and a discussion guide with further reading and additional resource recommendations. Kits are available for two age groups, 4-7 (E) and 8-11 (J), and come packaged in a plastic box with a title list on the outside. There are three sets of each kit.
