Meeting at the Oxford Lane Library

The Older Wiser Learners Series (OWLS) is a four-week program conducted by Ohio State University Extension Family and Consumer Sciences.

A place for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to read, learn and make friends.

Join us each month for an enjoyable discussion of books.

  April 7 – Wild Dark Shore by Charlotte McConaghy

HOME’s fair housing training gives tenants a clear understanding of their housing rights, the protections they’re entitled to and the steps they can take when facing discrimination or housing challenges.

Expand your palate and experiment with new global flavors! Learn fun facts and tips designed to enhance your understanding and appreciation of different cultures through food.

Ages 3 - 6. Richard and Carole Cocks Art Museum (Miami University). Enjoy a story time and related art activity at Oxford’s very own art museum!

Ages 12 - 18. Calling young LGBTQ+ individuals and their allies! A monthly drop-in program designed to provide an inclusive and welcoming space for creating art and crafts. Supplies will be provided.

April 11 – Macrame Photo Hanger: Learn macrame knots and create a piece of wall art to hang photos in.  

Ages 12 - up. Bring a digital photo on a flash drive or cloud storage and learn how to trace it on our digital drawing tablets.

Ages 12 - 18. Make beautiful perler bead creations of your favorite characters and hyperfixations! Lay out your design and staff will melt it into a keychain, jewelry charm, ornament or anything else you can imagine! 

Crafters and non-crafters unite and put your DIY skills to the test. Join us each month as we try a new craft.

    April 7 – Painted Tote Bags

A book club for 20- and 30-somethings who want good books, good vibes and good friends. Meets at Gaslight Brewhouse 325 S College Ave.

April 7 – Severance by Ling Ma

Bring your own dinner (we’ll bring the appetizer!) to enjoy while watching a PBS documentary and participating in a short discussion. Look for an email to vote on which documentary the day before the event.

Meeting at McAlister’s Deli, 3169 Princeton Rd, Hamilton

Master the job hunt with Fatemeh Hajihosseini of Women Walking West. This workshop guides you through writing standout resumes, impressing interviewers and tackling the confusion of online applications.

All ages. Join Jerry Pallotta, award-winning author of the wildly popular Who Would Win? series, for a discussion of his work. Book sale and signing will follow.
