How-To Video Contest

Announcement on YouTube: April 24, 1:00 p.m.
Age Categories: 13 – 18 and Adult
Ever wanted to try your hand at making a video? Pick a topic you know a lot about and share your how-to knowledge with us! Create a video on the topic and then email techcenter@lanepl.org with the attached mp4 file. Remember, you can make an appointment at the Lane Community Technology Center to use Lane’s audio/visual software and equipment!

Rules:

  • Deadline: 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, March 31.

  • Must be on topic.

  • Must be submitted in the MP4 file format.

  • 1080p preferred.

  • Must be between 30 seconds and 2 minutes in duration.

  • Must not use any copyrighted material without permission and/or attribution.

  • No unapproved photography or recording of library patrons.

  • Participants agree that Lane may publish submitted content – including partial or edited clips, as in a compilation video – to YouTube, the Lane website, or other social media sites.

  • Participants may cross-publish contest entries to any platform provided that they email techcenter@lanepl.org with the link, use #LaneHowTo in the description or equivalent field, and link back to The Lane Libraries’ website, Facebook page, or YouTube channel.

  • One entry per participant.

Winners announced via YouTube Live at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 24.
