Important information to understand before visiting the Lane Libraries during this time:

  • Masks are strongly encouraged. Masks will be available if you do not have one.
  • If you are sick, please avoid coming into the library buildings. Our drive-thru and phone services are available for your convenience. If it is noticed by library staff that you are visibly ill, you may be asked to leave the premises.

In-person programming has resumed at full capacity at all Lane Libraries. Meeting spaces are also available for public use. Some of our book clubs offer virtual options in addition to in-person meetings. View the calendar of events here. Please contact the library if you are interested in scheduling a special program specifically for your group.

The Lane Libraries are distributing Covid-19 home test kits as they are available. Please call your Lane Library location to see if they are in stock prior to visiting. Tests are provided by the Ohio Department of Health. These home test kits are available at Lane drive-thru windows only.

The Lane Libraries are distributors of this Covid-19 Home Test and cannot assist with testing or questions about the product. Please contact the Ohio Department of Health with questions.

If you are feeling ill or under quarantine, please stay home and take advantage of Lane’s online resources, some of which are detailed below.

Online Resources

We are so happy to see that many of you are taking advantage of our digital resources more than ever before! If you haven’t yet checked out these services, visit www.lanepl.org and click on eResources to discover all that’s available to you from home. Learn a new instrument from home with ArtistWorks, take online classes to keep up with CEUs through Universal Class, learn a new language using Transparent Languages, or find out more about Lane’s offerings through our very own Webinar Wednesdays series.

You also have access to countless eBooksaudiobookssongsvideos, and magazines through our website. If you aren’t able to find your library card or don’t currently have one, you can register for a library card here.

Also, for those of you who have children under the age of 5, you can now sign up to take part in Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library! This service mails one book a month to every enrolled child from birth until their fifth birthday. Thanks to the Ohio Governor’s Imagination Library, Butler County United Way, and other local donors who have made this possible for the children of Butler County. Visit www.imaginationlibrary.com to get started.

You can also follow us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/TheLaneLibraries for regular updates and links to more great resources.

The Lane Libraries will be closed on Easter Sunday, March 31.
