The Lane Libraries are excited to announce the opening of our new Community Technology Center. Located on the ground floor of the historic Robinson-Schwenn Building at 10 Journal Square, the Tech Center offers the community a high-tech collaborative work/play/create space with public use computers (both PC and Mac), high-end software, tablets and eReaders, a 3D printer and comfortable lounge-style seating with wi-fi availability. The Tech Center was funded by a gift from the estate of the late Leroy Roesel, a regular patron of the Hamilton Lane Library, and money from the Hamilton Community Foundation Fund.
The Tech Center will offer several free classes, workshops, and special events each week including:
Computer classes for users of all levels
Digital Photography Workshops and Downtown Photo Walks
Resume Writing and Job Seeking
Cutting the Cord: Freeing yourself from cable while still watching what you want
The Online Marketplace: Buying and Selling Online
3D Printing and CAD
Nanowrimo 2013 (November)
