Ages newborn - 24 months
Build a foundation of literacy for learning by talking, cuddling, rocking and singing to your baby. We introduce music, books, finger plays and songs to support this process.

Ages 4 - 6
Hear stories read from books that are full of wonderful and rare words, learn about letters and increase your pre-reading skills.

Enjoy books and songs! New words are introduced in this program, including rhymes and patterns that invite children to join in.

You can be a family history detective! Learn how in this fun, interactive program series designed just for kids. Fill out a family tree, interview relatives, record family legends and more. Attend every month, or just when you can.

Cash Cab ®

Climb into our cardboard cab and pretend to travel around Hamilton while you answer trivia questions worth increasing amounts of "play" money. Just like the popular Discovery Channel show, you'll get two shout-outs if you need help, and the chance to double-or-nothing if you reach your destination.

Drama Camp ®

Puppet Camp ®

Ultimate Lego Challenge

Do you have what it takes to be a Lane Library Lego Master? Bring your Lego collection and get ready to create! A building theme will be announced at the start of the challenge, and you will have one hour to design and construct your model. A judge will choose the top Lego Masters and their creations will be showcased in the Children's Department. All ages and abilities are welcome to join.
