Bridgewater Falls is not a natural feature. According to a 2003 report in the Journal-News it will be a "$70 million, 66-acre shopping, dining and entertainment development on Princeton Road (Ohio 747) between the Ohio 4 Bypass, Ohio 129 and Morris Road" in Fairfield Township. The first phase of the complex, developed by Premier Properties USA Inc., Indianapolis, opened Oct. 6, 2004, when a Target store welcomed shoppers. In its early stages, the development was known as the Pavilion.
