Bagdad was a nickname for Paddy's Run -- also known as various times as Shandon, New London, Cambria, Vaughan and Glendower. The 1882 Butler County history said: "New London, or 'Bagdad,' as the boys at Bebb's High School used to call the place, was laid out about September 1859."
