Are you a painter? Knitter? Jewelry designer? We want to see your talent! Submit a work of art in any medium to the Lane Libraries’ Art Contest. Submissions will be displayed for the community to see and vote for their favorites.

Contest:

• Age categories: Age 7 - 11, Teens 12 - 17 and Adults 18 - up
• Submission types: All media
• Submission dates:
  • Submit an entry form (link below) between January 19 - 30.
  • Bring artwork to your Lane Library location (Hamilton, Fairfield or Oxford) January 31 - February 4. *We cannot guarantee a spot for submission after February 4.
• How to submit:
  • Fill out the submission form to enter the contest. (You will receive a “thank you” email within 48 hours of submitting your work. If you do not receive this email, please contact Akiko Urayama at a.urayama@lanepl.org.)
  • Please frame or mat art pieces created on paper.
  • Items that require hanging should come equipped for that purpose.
  • Please label the BACK of your art piece with your name and age category.
  • Each artist can enter up to 3 pieces.
  • All art submissions must follow the Lane Libraries code of conduct.
• Voting will take place by the public during each location’s designated period.
• Winners will be announced on Wednesday, February 11.
• Prizes: The winner for each age category will win a $50 gift card from Blick Art Materials.
• Artwork Pickup: All works must be picked up from the library by Sunday, February 15.
